Science Fiction Double Feature

The third Pretty Little Liar...

Emily Fields
Costume: This is probably the easiest of the PLLs. Wear a pair of shorts or a denim mini skirt and a cute, simple thermal or tee. Add a pair of Pumas or Addidas sneakers and you're ready to go.
Extras: Cell phone again. Wear a bracelet with your name on it and look at it longingly at random intervals.
Bonus Points: Act insecure sometimes and don't forget to have someone dress up like Maya!

Only one more day until Halloween and one more costume!!

Monster Mash

Here's another PLL leading lady for you!

Hanna Marin
Costume: To be Rosewood's it girl and fashionista wear only designer duds, or for those of you on a budget (like me) grab some designer knock-offs. A pair of shorts, to show off your toned legs, a low-cut shirt and a trendy blazer over it. Wear some hot heels, the higher the better, and carry an oversized bag.
Extras: Cell phone is a must for this one too. A pair of designer sunglasses (don't steal them like Hanna did though) and some secrets of your own are a great way to polish the look.
Bonus Points: Boast lots of money and gossip with your annoying best friend. Always keep your cool so that people with think you're cool.

Secret

I know it's been awhile but it was a crazy weekend. So, to continue with the Halloween costume theme, I'm gonna finish the 'series' off with the ladies of Pretty Little Liars.

Aria Montgomery
Costume: To dress up as this PLL leading lady, wear a printed dress over a pair of tights and under a hot jacket. Add a pair of boots and a funky necklace.
Extras: Carry around a book of poetry and always have your cell phone. Check it often and gasp when A sends you a message. You need to have a lot of secrets!
Bonus Points: Invite your attractive English teacher to come along with you :)

Example?

It's almost here!

Bad Things

Today's costume? Everyone's favorite telepath from True Blood.

Sookie Stackhouse

Costume: There are actually two ways you could go. The most obvious would be the Merlotte's uniform (which can be found at Hot Topic). Find yourself a pair of black shorts and the shirt and apron and you're good to go! Get a blond wig, the curlier the better, and sweep it in a ponytail. You could also just wear a little sundress and shrug and put a little headband in your hair. Either way, you're good to go!
Extras: Bite marks on your neck, an order pad (for the waitress outfit) and talk in a southern accent.
Bonus Points: Try reading people's minds. :)

Time Warp

Today's costume is for all you Gleeks out there! The girl we all love even though she' sooo annoying...

Rachel Berry
Costume: For this one, wear a lot of plaid, polka dots or large gaudy prints. A pleated skirt, cardigan and knee socks would work best and add a pair of clunky Mary Janes.
Extras: Carry around a microphone and some golden star stickers.
Bonus Points: Find yourself a football/singing star bf. Also, randomly start singing Barbara Streisand songs (Rain on My Parade).

"I'm like Tinkerbell-I need applause to live!"

Thriller

13 days until Halloween!
Today's costume is for all you vampire lovers. Elana and Katherine from the Vampire Diaries.

Elena Gilbert
Nina Dobrev as Elena
Costume: The essentials for this costume are fairly simple. A pair of skinny jeans, a plain, jewel-toned top and a leather jacket. Dye your hair dark or you could just buy a long, dark wig. Find a vervain necklace (they sell them at Hot Topic) and you're ready to go!
Extras: Keep a concerned look plastered on your face, carry around a journal and write about vampires.
Bonus Points: Have your best friends dress up as a witch (Bonnie) and a new vampire (Caroline) or walk around with a Salvatore brother on each arm.

Here's an example of something you could put together...
(I found this site that is basically like online paper dolls and I am a little addicted)

Katherine Pierce
Nina Dobrev as Katherine

Costume: This one's pretty much the same except curl your hair and add a pair of extremely high heels. No vervain necklace this time, though. You need a ring to walk in the sun and some fangs.
Extras: Katherine likes to feed so some blood on your face and a major attitude would be great additions to the costume.
Bonus Points: Try to take out other Halloween party-goers dressed as Elena or bite a few people ;)

Stay tuned for more Halloween costume ideas!

Masquerade

With Halloween only 2 weeks away, I'm going to give all you TV fanatics (at least the ones who watch the shows I watch :P) some tips to become some of TV's favorite leading ladies. One costume idea at a time leading up to Halloween week so stay tuned.

Meredith Grey- Grey's Anatomy
Costume: This one's pretty simple. A pair of periwinkle blue scrubs, an i.d. badge with Mer's picture on it and some slip on sneakers.
Extras: To really get the essence of Meredith put a Hello Kitty band-aid on your forehead, carry around a bottle of tequila and a set of surgical tools.
Bonus Points: Add 'Mc' to the beginning of random words and names, act dark and twisty and walk around with Patrick Dempsey on your arm.

Don't Stop Believin

"I'm Sam. Sam I am. And I don't like Green Eggs and Ham."

I would just like everyone to know that while I am missing Puck, who is in juvenile detention, Sam is really nice to have around. The first time he sang on the premiere I just melted. But then when he sang last night with Quinn, man did I wish I was her! Last night's episode in general was awesome. If I were the one voting, I would've picked Santana and Mercedes though. They sounded amazing!
On to other things, I stumbled on this on the internet and thought I would share it.
Attention dude: I enjoy your shirt!

It's midterms week! Actually it's the third day of midterms week and I only had one actual midterm. But, only two more classes until fall break! Plus, my teacher canceled my one class on Friday so I get to start mine early! Scheduling for next semester is coming up as well. I finished mine last week but I keep changing things around.
In other news, I finished reading The Bell Jar finally. I have started my Christmas shopping. Ooh! And I got my nails done last weekend with Alyssa and Ashleigh.

That's all for now. Lots of homework to do for those two classes before the weekend!

Ciao!
