For the past few weeks for school I have been teaching a group of four Kindergarteners on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And they are completely driving me crazy! Now don't get me wrong, they're cute and say the most adorable things. I even have one who has a brother with one eye and one leg. Yeah.
But...
Oh my gosh, I do not want to teach Kindergarteners. They are so hyper and antsy and don't listen! And they seem to want to know what everyone else is doing instead of listening to what we're doing.
So today I subbed for half the day at an elementary school in my hometown in a fifth grade class.
And. I. Loved. It.
I absolutely loved being in an older classroom. I was so shocked at how much I enjoyed being in a fifth grade class because I absolutely did not like sixth when I subbed last year. There is such a difference between that one year. The fifth graders were so well-behaved (other than some talking) and they were very respectful and polite. It was definitely not what I expected and I am thinking now that I will probably choose an older grade when I get my degree.
Also, Facebook is pissing me off. Anyone else not liking it? I mean seriously, if I wanted to use Google+ I would get an account.
Now I would like to talk about the season premieres that I saw this week.
Glee:
First impression? I miss Sam and Zeises. Also, I like Quinn's new hair, but not her new attitude. She can keep the pink cos I like it, but she needs to get her ass back to glee club. Love: Blaine at McKinley!!! Love: Sugar! I loved Vanessa Lengies in Stick It! Love: the Kurt/Rachel bond that seems to have formed out of their shared performance in an empty theatre in NYC. Overall, this episode was a much needed pick-me-up for this Gleek!
New Girl:
LOVEEEEEEEEEE THIS SHOW! If you didn't see it you either need to watch it as soon as possible or just throw your TV out the window. It was absolutely amazing! It was hilarious and I am even more in love with Zooey Deschanel if that's possible! It's going to be a great way to end my Tuesdays!
Grey's Anatomy:
I'm kind of on the fence about his one. I was glad to get it back and I enjoyed that it was a little more reminiscent of the older episodes, but it still made me mad. If you haven't watched yet, don't read because I'm gonna talk about it. I have to. Love: the way Cristina and Owen made up! So glad Mer gave Owen that verbal slap in the face. Love: Bailey. Period. As always I loved Bailey in this episode. So sassy. Love: all the adorable babies! Zola and Sofia are absolutely adorable! Hate: Webber!!!!!!! No!!!!!!!! I mean, obviously I want Mer at Grace but no Chief Webber? Who's gonna be chief now??? Hate: That Lexie and Mark still aren't together. All I can say here is wtf? Hate: THE ENDING!!! I realize it's gonna be on again in a week but I mean come on! I just want everyone to be happy again! This whole Derek hates Meredith thing is pissing me off! Just make up already. He is not being very McDreamy. Oh one more love: the ending. I know, so let me explain. I hateee the ending in general, but I loved that it was Alex who comforted Meredith because I love that they are friends! I have always loved their friendship and am sooo glad that they are friends again!
Well, those are the only shows I watched this week because I was too busy doing homework to catch any others.
That's all for now because I'm exhausted and I don't think I can stay up for anymore.
Bya!

A Hard Day's Night
"The only one that can keep a promise like that is God, and I haven't seen him holding a scalpel lately."
Here we go! Season 1 Episode 1. I feel like this is the perfect way to start; with the beginning! This episode, like this post, is entitled A Hard Day's Night. We are introduced to Meredith Grey and the 4 other surgical interns Cristina Yang, George O'Malley, Isobel Stevens and Alex Karev. We see Meredith leaving her house after getting rid of her handsome one night stand Derek Shepherd(hello, Patrick Dempsey!) on her way to her first day of work at Seattle Grace Hospital. The interns (all but Alex that is) meet as when they get assigned to Dr. Bailey.

"I have five rules. Memorize them. Rule number one, don't bother sucking up. I already hate you, that's not going to change." |
![]() |
"007. They're calling me 007, aren't they?" |

"Katie competes in beauty pageants." -Cristina
"I know that but we have to save her life anyways." -McDreamy
Meredith is thrilled with the rush that comes with surgery and in the end, there are no hard feelings between herself and Cristina. The episode ends with the end of the interns' first shift at the hospital and they've all made it through.

"Did you choose me for the surgery because I slept with you?" |
'Portions for Foxes' -Rilo Kiley
'They' -Jem Griffiths
'Ready to Rise' -Vaughan Penn
'Life is Short' -Butterfly Boucher
'Into the Fire' -Thirteen Senses
'Super Cool' -Bang Sugar Bang
'Dance' -O.A.O.T.S
Now, some quotes from this episode that make me smile...
"Do we have to do that thing, where you know, where I say something and then you say something and then someone cries and there's a moment?" -Cristina
"Yuck." -Meredith
"You should get some sleep, you look like crap." -Cristina
"I look better than you." -Meredith
"Not possible." -Cristina
"Just go to sleep." -Meredith
"I can't sleep, my head feels all full." -Katie Bryce
"It's called thinking. Go with it." -Meredith
"I can't think of any one reason why I want to be a surgeon, but I can think of 1,000 reasons why I should quit. They make it hard on purpose. There are lives in our hands. There comes a moment when it's more than just a game and you either take that step forward or turn around and walk away. I could quit, but here's the thing... I love the playing field." -Meredith
Okay, well there you have it! One down, eleven to go!
10 days!!!!

Aaah, McDreamy! |
I can't wait to hear those lips utter those words! With new fall shows starting this week and next, I though I would take this time to go over the ones I absolutely can't wait for!
Grey's Anatomy

Private Practice

Glee
I was very upset that they lost last season, but thank goodness New Directions is back! I also would just like to say that I love Rachel's new look but I'm gonna miss Puck's mohawk :( I still love him though! One thing I can't wait for is Carol Burnett as Sue Sylvester's mother and all the other amazing guest stars. Can you say Britney Spears and John Stamos?!?! Again, not any cliffhangers, but I cannot wait for all the new music to get stuck in my head. 9 days!
My Generation
NEW SHOW!!! While I won't get to watch it at the time it comes on because I'll be in class (sad face) this is one show I definitely have to watch. I've seen the commercials and this show looks reallly good. 12 days!
Pretty Little Liars
I've got quite a while until this one comes on again, but I still can't wait! Thank you Alyssa for getting me addicted. I loved this show so much. I was so sad to see it end this summer after only 10 episodes! I read the first book after watching the series and honestly can't decide which I like better. I might be leaning towards the show though. I love Lucy Hale and her character, Aria-she is definitely my favorite. I love all the amazing clothes on the show. And soooo many cute boys! Ezra, Wren, Sean, Alex, Lucas, Ian and Noel...yummy! This one's gonna be hard to wait for...Is Hanna gonna be ok? What's gonna happen between Aria and Noel? What about poor Toby? (I don't think he did it). What's up with Byron and Ashley?? Lucas or Sean? Hanna you have to pick one! Plus, who the heck is A?
So, I urge you to check these shows out! I love them and you probably will too! Don't become too addicted though... ;)
